Important Information

The purpose of the marine survey and report is to provide an opinion to a prospective purchaser or other interested party, identified as the Client on the previous page, as to the general condition, as at the time the survey is undertaken, of those sections of the vessel to which safe and reasonable access is available and permitted at the time of the survey. The marine survey report should not and cannot be relied upon by any party other than the Client identified in the Letter of Engagement.

Scope of Marine Survey and Report

The report is not an all encompassing report dealing with every aspect of the subject vessel. It is a reasonable attempt to identify any obvious or significant defects apparent at the time of the marine survey. The author of the report is not an expert in every craft or profession used to create and build marine vessels. The marine survey is limited to a visual inspection of the exposed and readily accessible areas and components including the following major components (as applicable):

Hull Engine(s) Electrical system Deck Hardware Generator(s) Safety Equipment Accessories

Superstructure Fuel system Cooking system Propulsion gear Tender Electronics Mast and rigging

The survey is a visual inspection only of areas of the vessel to which safe and reasonable access is available and permitted at the time of the inspection. The survey does not contemplate or involve the dismantling, removal or moving of any coverings or objects for access. The survey and report will not and cannot make comment upon any defects that may have been concealed Accordingly, the report is not a guarantee that defects and/or damage do not exist in any inaccessible or partly inaccessible and no liability shall be accepted on an account of failure of the marine survey and report to notify the Client of any problems in the sections of the subject vessel physically inaccessible for inspection or to which access for inspection is denied.

Payment

Payment is required in full prior to the commencement of the marine survey. The marine survey will not be carried out unless payment in full has been received.

Any advice, recommendation, information, assistance or service given in connection with the marine survey and/or report is given in good faith and is believed to be accurate, appropriate and reliable at the time it is given, but is provided in accordance with the Important Information set out above and without any warranty of accuracy, appropriateness or reliability and no liability or responsibility for any loss suffered from any reliance on such advice, recommendation, information, assistance or service.

Life of the Report

The report should not be relied upon if the contract for sale of the subject vessel is to be completed or otherwise becomes binding more than 30 days after the date that the marine survey is carried out. A re-inspection after this time is essential.
